Malahide is a popular seaside village in Fingal (North County Dublin), Ireland.

Malahide is very well-situated, with a pleasant village atmosphere on the Irish Sea coast, while being within easy travelling distance of the city of Dublin. Malahide train station is on the DART line which makes commuting into Dublin from Malahide particularly easy. The M1 and M25 motorways are also within easy reach of Malahide (about 10-15 minutes), and Dublin Airport is also nearby (about 15 minutes drive.) Malahide Marina caters for those lucky enough to arrive in Malahide by sea.

Malahide village itself is well served with restaurants, pubs and shops (including many fashion boutiques), making it a popular destination for day-trippers from Dubin. Accomodation in Malahide is also an attractive option to visitors to Ireland, particularly those seeking accomodation near Dublin airport, thanks to several hotels and bed and breakfasts in Malahide.

Along with the coast and the village itself, Malahide Castle and Demesne are also hugely popular tourist destinations. The grounds of Malahide Castle provide very pleasant woodland walks, and a large and very well-equipped children’s playground. Sports facilities are also available in the Castle grounds, including a par-three “pitch-and-putt” golf course, tennis courts, soccer, rugby and Gaelic sports pitches. Malahide Cricket Club is also situated at Malahide Castle. For Francophiles, there is even a terrain de boules (a gravel patch for playing French boules). And of course, there is Malahide Castle itself, with almost 800 years of history, and former home of the Talbot family.

Malahide also has a lively sports scene with Malahide Cricket Club, Malahide Golf Club, Malahide Rugby Club, Malahide United FC, St. Sylvester's GAA and Malahide Yacht Club all having very active memberships enjoying the outdoor life and the enjoyable social life that goes with it. For the younger generation, Malahide Sea Scouts is the largest Sea Scout troop in Europe, and the largest Scout troop in Ireland, with around 400 members ranging from Beavers, through Cubs and Sea Scouts to Venture Scouts.
